Holiday cottages

The traditional stone built barns, most of which are listed buildings, were built of local stone and slates from the nearby slate quarry at Delabole, some of the buildings date back as far as the 16th century.

Owl’s roost

All cottages have modern fitted kitchens with integrated cooker and hob, microwave, refridgerator, washing machine, mixer, iron, cutlery and crockery. There are night storage heaters in the bedrooms and a combination storage heater in the lounge with ample comfortable seating and a colour television. The bathroom has a bath with shower, toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail, fan heater, and shaver point.

The cottages each have an open plan lounge and kitchen with dining area, except Glenmore which has a separate lounge and its own contained garden. All electric storage heating, bed linen, and duvets; VAT is included in the rental price. Cots and highchairs are also available - please reserve when booking. There is a shared tumble dryer in a nearby utility room, patio area with garden furniture, a barbecue / play area, and a games room with pool table.

Owl’s Roost
The Owl’s Roost (pictured) has two bedrooms. One double and the other with twin beds and bunk beds.
Swallow’s Nest
The Swallow’s Nest has two bedrooms. One double and the other with one single bed and bunk beds.
The Stable
The Stable has two bedrooms. One double and the other with twin beds.
The Haywain
The Haywain has two bedrooms. One double and the other with twin beds, plus a smaller bed suitable for a child.
Glenmore Bungalow
Glenmore bungalow was originally built 40 years ago and has recently been refurbished and modernised. It has three bedrooms, one double, one twin, and one with bunk beds.
Round House
New for 2008! The Round House is a barn conversion with exposed roof timbers and oak flooring. It is a one bedroom building with a double bed which may be split to form two single beds. An additional put-you-up bed may be made available by prior request.
